The World AIDS Day campaign of the Foundation came to a successful conclusion
December 1 is the World AIDS Day. This year, from 28/11 to 01/12 (30/11 not included), in cooperation with 353 Plaza, Shanghai Pasteur Health Research Foundation held a campaign in order to popularize the public’s knowledge in the field of AIDS.
In order to mobilize the enthusiasm of the public, we made a Wishing Wall and used a LCD TV to show some short videos on AIDS. The foundation has also distributed questionnaires, AIDS brochures and small gifts on the spot. The event attracted a lot of people and was highly appreciated by the public.
The theme of this World AIDS Day is “Universal access and Human Rights”, aiming to accelerate the implementation of protection of human rights and support universal access to AIDS prevention, treatment and care. The latest data of the Ministry of Health shows that in China, by the end of October this year, the cumulative reported HIV infections amount to 319,877, of which 102,323 cases of AIDS patients and 49,845 cases of reported deaths.
