On June 27th 2009, one of the projects supported by Shanghai Pasteur Health Research Foundation - " Clinical basic research on HCV and the interaction of body's immune systems " - was successfully reviewed in Ruijin Hotel. Mr ZHU Zhenghong, president of the Foundation, chaired the meeting. Four PI of Institute Pasteur of Shanghai, engaged in the project and four four Specially-appointed Professors participated in the meeting.
The six members of the expert group launched heated deliberations on the project, started an in-depth discussion with the undertakers of the project and gave some constructive suggestions on key technology, innovation points and transformation of achievements of the project. They considered that the project will promote our understanding of mechanism of function and reaction between HCV and human immune system, find some new mechanisms and new targets and provide for a theoretical basis for new immunotherapy and antiviral therapy.
